Senator Gerald Hocker represents the 20th Senate District and has been a member of the Senate since 2012. He previously served in the Delaware House of Representatives from 2002 until 2012. He has served as the Minority Leader in the Senate since after the 2018 general elections.
Born and raised in Sussex County, Senator Hocker and his wife, Emily, own and operate a number of businesses in Clarksville, Ocean View, and the Bethany Beach area. He graduated from Lord Baltimore High School in 1966 and earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Delaware.
