Senator Eric L. Buckson, the senator for the 16th Senate District, was first elected to the Delaware General Assembly in 2022 and is currently serving his second term.
Senator Buckson is a lifelong resident of Kent County and the State of Delaware. He graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1983, the University of Delaware in 1988, and obtained a Masters in Sport Management in 1990. He is a retired educator in the Polytech School District. Prior to being elected to the Delaware State Senate, he served as a commissioner on the Kent County Levy Court.
Currently, Senator Buckson serves on the Joint Finance Committee, Senate Education Committee, Senate Elections & Government Affairs Committee, Senate Environment, Energy, & Transportation Committee, Senate Health & Social Services Committee, Senate Housing & Land Use Committee, and Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.
Senator Buckson is married to his wife, Jennifer, and they have four children (Krisanne, Brent, Graham and Leiah).
