Senator Buckson, atTAcK Addiction to Hold Kent County Organizational Meeting

DOVER, DE – On Friday, October 13, 2023, Senator Eric Buckson (R-Dover) announced that, in coordination with atTAcK Addiction, an organizational meeting for the new Kent County Chapter of atTAcK Addiction will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Kent County Levy Court building.

Anyone who has been impacted by addiction and wants to advocate for better services in Kent County is encouraged to attend.

atTAcK Addiction, an organization seeking to curb the opioid and drug crisis in Delaware, currently has a presence in New Castle and Sussex County.

“Drug addiction and overdose is an epidemic and does not discriminate,” Senator Buckson said. “Organizations such as atTAcK Addiction have done great work in the lower and upper portions of Delaware, and I am proud to partner with them to create a presence here in Kent County and ensure the state is committed to our area.”

According to the most recent data from the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, there have been 387 suspected drug overdose deaths in Delaware this year. 

The Kent County organizational meeting will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Kent County Levy Court building. The address is 555 South Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901. 

Senator Buckson represents the 16th Senate District and is a member of the Senate Health and Social Services Committee.
